Region 13256 [S22W62] 340 developed further in the trailing spot section and a magnetic delta formed. The region was the source of an X1.2 flare at 02:33 on March 29. A split into 2 regions is still being considered as the leading penumbra appears to have become orphaned by the development in the trailing spots.
